Recreation and Culture

The Shuswap Lake has over 400 kms of shoreline and 22 Provincial Parks making Salmon Arm an excellent centre for unlimited water sports while the mountains provide trails for biking, hiking and skiing.
The town offers a wide array of parks, playgrounds and a championship 18-hole golf course.

Salmon Arm has a very active community. The Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival is a major 3-day event drawing musicians from all the over the world.

Salmon Arm is located on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 at the southern tip of Shuswap Lake, 108 kms east of Kamloops and 60 kms north of Vernon.
